New version 579 rolled out

Well we have been busy over the last couple of weeks, and now its time to release what we have been up to! New features include a brand new sexy design, a suggested replys thing (basically if you get the same question over and over the reply can be stored and Juvely will suggest it), attach other files (if you need to send the same file over and over you only need to upload it once) and a file section for the management section. We have also had tonnes of bug fixes! Anyway, here are the changes so enjoy!

New version 495 rolled out

We have just rolled out version 495! The major changes in this are we have had a minor redesign and added a sidebar to all the pages. We have also added a more secure login system, if you are having problems please reset your password by clicking on the “I have forgotten my password” link! In the next version we are planning to finish off the ticket functionality so it may be a bit longer before the next release.

Bug Fixes

  • Search box size was too big and some title text wrapped
  • AJAX updating of the recent activity list was broken
  • Internet Explorer CSS fixes
  • Username field of staff member and client was unique to the whole system rather than specific account
  • Various fixes on staff settings page

New Features

  • Ticket list is kept the same size even when there are less than 7 tickets
  • Automagical updating of distance times (i.e. 32 minutes ago)
  • More secure login for staff centre (password is hashed with a salt before transmission; client centre will be done later after testing)

Version 501 is a hotfix which fixes a number of issues related to the email system.

What’s to come..

It’s been about 5 days since we launched the beta and things are going well. We have had about 25 people sign up for accounts and we are hearing some good comments. However, only a select few people are leaving any feedback, we want you guys to know we are all ears on improving what we have, so send suggestions/thoughts/comments our way and we will continue to work hard developing the app!

What the future holds

Apart from updates/refinements in the current areas of the app in the next major release we are going to include the live chat functionality and are also hoping to push forward the customisation management of the client section (as this is what people are asking for). As we have only just started developing the live chat area, we’d like to know what you think of these ideas.

  • Internal chat room for staff members
  • Messenger like feature for staff members speaking to users
  • A desktop application for the chat/notification of new tickets (probably developed using Adobe AIR)
  • Search-able chat logs

For customisation we want to keep it simple but really allow you to take control of your client area. Here are some ideas we are suggesting:

  • Your company logo
  • 3 or 4 templates
  • Changing the colour scheme of those templates
  • Allowing customisation of the CSS for advanced users
  • Domain mapping (allowing you to point your dns at our servers to use the client-desk area)
  • Full white label-ness
  • More domains to choose from for the client area

Anyway, its 1am and it’s time to sleep, an early start in the morning. We’ll update in few days to let you know of the progress and as always let us know your thoughts!
